Hey guys (yeah, you TWO of my avid readers).
Because of a realization, I have decided to move.
Creating a bucket list doesn't say I'm going elsewhere, literally, but once you are in a rut and you don't know what to do really,

you just wanted to create a list to try stuff just so you know what your direction is.
Life doesn't begin at any age, but I am now trying at this age.
Check out a simple girl's bucket list here.
Can you help me out here? Shoot me a comment so I'd know I'd be on the right track there.

Super sorry for the late post. As office and school work piles up my plate to the brim, I'm at the point of crankiness that a simple overseas call from my sister ended up in a shouting match (Soo sorry :S)
After I bawled my eyes out talking to GG while he was on a business trip, I decided to take the day off the next day and get a massage.
Went to a nearby spa that is completely obscure to the hoards of different small stores, you actually have to be a repeating customer in order to locate it. It's near a local 7-11 here, and the name escapes me for now, so good luck finding it.
So obscure that upon ringing the doorbell, I was greeted by a just-awake massage therapist, who was also manning the receptionist table, and who later on was the assigned to do my massage. LOL.
I was the only one there, considering it was on a Thursday late afternoon. I took the time to choose which type of massage should I have.
Obviously I am not that girl posing provocatively in the future, but I was smiling like that from my previous massage.
I had the Balinese Massage instead, noticing that my back was making those popping sounds whenever GG nonchalantly massages my back:

I had the stone massage before, which was uber-fantastic:

The massage ended with your usual hot towel, and though I have to endure the usual "spa" music, the cd kept on scratching that someone decided to just chuck it altogether.

The internet is super super slow, despite GG installing a program that makes internet access faster (I won't tell you what it is here, but I assure you it didn't cause the internet latency. To quote chuvaness, this is sooo bagalia jackson.)
Anyhoo, prepared a packed lunch of egg cooked sunny side up with black peppers and hot corned beef for work. Since we just moved office at the Fort, there are no reliable street food vendors to provide you with cheap varieties of food.
Here's a closeup. Looks like my Ranchos Huevos breakfast that I had back on our last Boracay trip, less the red sauce. Yum!

I like my packaging in a circular microwaveable container.

Since I cooked an entire can of corned beef, I naturally have leftovers. GG had the idea of spreading them on crackers. The idea was of a previous menu he had made for his bar way back when we haven't met.

And then with a couple bags of chips he already devoured while waiting for me to cook my packed lunch, he had an idea to have a cold glass of Coke to chug along with our "immediate" snack.
So he went out and bought not only two bottles of Coca Cola, but also another bag of chips.

Thank you Mcdobald's promotional glasses for the FIFA World Cup. This is how a cold glass of Coke looks like:

Several conversational topics later, we had two big and hard-as-a-rock guts and had difficulty hauling ourselves upstairs to the bedroom to retire.
What's your fave packed lunch?

Is the name of Gorillaz's latest album. GG downloaded the entire album, and has been playing the songs ever since. Noticed he's really into Gorillaz now when he is in research mode -- he has started viewing videos of past performances on Youtube.
He also did not fail to mention that the two of the famous quartet, The Clash, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, were touring members of the band.
I like how the two complement Damon Albarn. I wonder what enticed the former to come out of retirement to play in Albarn's band?
Love how quirky the two move here. :D
And for the love of this "musical project", GG had finally surrendered to the urge.
He bought the Gorillaz designer toy set from an online seller:

After the documentation and coverage on the Metro Manila Cloud Web Developers Group and Roofcamp #9, imagine my relief when I realize that I'd now be just a spectator at the 8th Stratmark Conference sponsored by the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) and the Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA).
It was held at the Aliw Theater, so I was expecting that at a bigger event, I am only expected to just sashay around some exhibits, listen to some talks, and hopefully get a lucky shot at their event raffle.
So imagine our real display when aside from the fact that our teacher didn't prearrange the transportation (which is now my number one pet peeve and warrants another post from this one -- schools should at least show support to their students on outside events by the most basic necessity needed on an out-of-school event, which is transportation!), we weren't let in.
They say that the theater's capacity is around 2500, and that PMA didn't expect a big turnaround. But seeing the many students here who had to wait almost half of the day for an answer while our professors pull as many strings as they can inside to at least let their students have an educational experience, you'd be appalled at how there was no immediate strategy to accommodate a surplus of attendance.
Took the following pictures after some of the students left, and some retreated to the nearby fastfood centers since they can't stand the crazy weather:
My professor approached by supposedly someone from the organizers' group. We asked our prof if the latter can do something. He answered the same as our earlier suspicion, "Walang powers.".
But PMA, lead by Dr. Nick Fontanilla, had turned the experience around in the later afternoon, by treating those people who stayed to an all-rides treat at the nearby Star City at a discounted price, plus a series of talks from a couple of speakers in the conference proper!
Though our excitement was eclipsed with the humid weather and that we were too tired to contest from all that waiting, we marched ourselves into the place of fun, and had our "special" conference at the Grand Carousel.
In a twist of things, it felt much more welcoming than your usual conference setup. We had the members of the PMA all lively and jiggly from the usual stiff professionals, and Sam YG from Magic 89.9 got a couple of my classmates titillated.
Dr. Fontanilla and the rest of the PMA board held contests, and guess what which school won most of the big prizes?
We had some of the prizes - these delicacies - to enjoy after the conference courtesy of Goldilocks:
We won TWO of these,
Very blurry photo. Also won TWO of these. Brought one home, hehe.
Too many dizzying rides and a tiring cab ride home, I am praying that next year's convention would be bigger, organized, and held at Enchanted Kingdom. Yey!

And so it did, after a few missed calls to my professor begging him to move my report scheduled just this afternoon. Since the report was shared with another classmate, I have to drag my sorry @ss to school and work up a presentation. Didn't know how I survived it, but I just hope that my professor got the memo of how seriousness influenza is.
Anyhoo, got a late-hour notice that I have to cover a Roofcamp event this evening. Did some research and noted that how cool that there is already an existing thinktank group in the Philippines?
The group is already on it's 9th meeting, and will have Matthew Pontoles of Barefoot Investments LLC for a talk.
The event starts at 6:30pm, BAREFOOT Headquarters, 29th Floor Rufino Pacific Tower, Ayala Avenue corner Herrera Street, Legaspi Village in Makati.
You can sign up for the event here, and join the group here.
That, and along with meeting my 20-hour work week and covering another meetup with The Metro Manila Cloud Developers Group, I'm praying for God to give me more energy my vitamins could afford to give me.

It's been two, three days that GG got sick with fever, and just this afternoon, I think I am going to be his victim.
While passing at a drugstore en route to home, I was toying on the idea to switch to generics instead of the usual, favorable and branded medication we usually take for fever.
While going over a tarpaulin of the list of drugs recommended for common sicknesses, I've discovered that the generic brand for fever is five pesos less than the most trusted one. A familiar argument plays over my head while giving the money to the pharmacist: the generic versus branded medicine argument.
I'm currently in line to finish a Marketing degree, and studied Financial management before. So it's no surprise that I have to side with generic medicine, considering they contain the primary formulation. Take that, heavy advertising expenses and cheesy actors hawking the products!
With that, we both took a pill for fever, a pill for body ache, a pill for dry cough, and multivitamins. With a good night's rest, hope we'd get better in the morning.

This is GG's latest purchase: Darth Vader from Popobe!
Their Facebook description was a bit off in the language department:
"Popobe is a large family of colorful bears which draw their unique shapes, colors and moods from the human world. Popobe's only wish is to entertain us and be our friends."
Bought online, we didn't realize that the seller was Vic Yap until we met him at a mall. Vic who? The Vic Yap.
We were super sorry we let him wait for us for 40 minutes, considering we both live on the same area and we could have met somewhere near.
Some more "lambing" (caring) shots.
Eew. On second thought, I look oily and tired.
Go get your own Popobe!

A friend of mine sort of betrayed me. And I think it was for a good reason: we were talking about the recent affairs of a common friend, of whom I wanted to confide the former for me to clear some questions so I can move on. Since the former cared about the latter, I think it was appropriate at that time to spill the beans of an otherwise uber-confidential conversation.
Apparently, there were two many loose lips and a Facebook message and post did spark a war in me. Being hopefully the better person in me, wrote two personal and final messages back and decided to keep mum. I know have also resolve to "care" less and make excellent judgments of character in my social circle.
I will now exclusively confess to a priest. The only other entity the priest will be confessing is God, so that's okay.
Is this situation familiar to you?

Yey! Finally did my kaizen of the week: continue my personal blog.
And as one of the firsts, I am now posting some shots taken at my first dinner in JT's Manukan.
I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo0000000o oooove chicken. Fried, grilled, steamed, or whatever, my palate craves for chicken, and then beef, then pork. It has and always be chicken.
My fiance/Benefactor, whom I endearly call GG (God's gift) hailed a cab after we spent a few hours at a nearby mall to a JT's in Malugay.
Their place in Malugay was super subtle, GG can't even tell which store. We almost had to instruct the taxi driver to pass the street twice.
Checked the place and noted that it was your usual barbeque place/hole in the wall. But the posters/pictures were adorable. Most were movies we thought Joel Torre, an actor/thespian who owns the place, starred in.
Took some crazy shots with them while waiting for the main course of pecho (breast) and paa (leg) Inasal.

Oro, Plata and "Small" Mata (eyes). Corny I know.

GG giving me a pose. I love the multi-colored lanterns. Looks like they use the fabric used for mosquito nets.

The drinks were served first, so I took shots of GG pouring the drinks.

Coke Zero was fave drink of choice, hands-down. Guilt-free, and doesn't leave that sugary, sticky feel in your tongue.
Went, or I say, walked home almost bursting out of my pants for too much chicken and that wonderful garlic rice they serve. Naturally, was too hungry to take pictures of the food.
I wonder how the almost 5-person service crew man the place during week days? Located just near the Makati Business District, I cannot imagine how they'll survive considering the reviews.
Till next time, JT!
